Pantone recently announced their pick of the colours for spring, Cayenne – bright popping, hot coral! I know it’s no where near Spring in Australia, I mean, I’m still in Summer mode! But for my Northern Hemisphere babes, read on.
As I know I can’t afford these Stila picks of the colour of Spring, Pantone’s Cayenne, I do know now after some nifty web browsing where you can pick up some amazing cheap alternatives!
Makup Geek | “Mango Tango” | US $5.99
Makeup Geek has become a well known name when it comes to cheap, high quality makeup items. This eye shadow is no different. Described as a being “a little bit tart, a little bit sweet, this orangey pink shadow will put a little movement in your feet.” The bottom line to this shade is: peachy pink with flecks of gold.
Shanghai Suzy | “Miss Sarah-Jane Neon Coral” | AUD$12.95
I can’t go past Shanghai Suzy without buying like 8 lipsticks. They’re awesome pigmentation and super nourishing formula’s have totally set the bar high, at such a low price too! All in all, this punchy coral colour will keep you swaying in the breeze until the sunset is as coral as your lips.
Bourjois Paris Blush | “16 Rose Coup de Foudre” | AUD$20.00
This beautiful blush just makes me want Spring to hurry it’s butt up and get here! With a delectable rose scent which is standard in Bourjois blushers, and such a luxury, and a beautiful buttery baked texture, application is a breeze! The blush you get from being in love is almost as good as this, almost. 😉
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream | “Bonfire” | US$6.00
Wowza, is this one a bright punch of colour, the lip gloss settles into a long-wearing silk finish. The vivid colours of this range are perfect for a statement lip or an overall bright look. Bonfire is a very true “Cayenne” colour, totally worthy of it’s place on this list.
What colour will you be coveting this season?
